The purposes of this organization shall be:
To provide teachers with opportunities for the exchange of ideas and materials regarding instruction in mathematics,
to further the cooperative study of ideas relating to the teaching of mathematics at the elementary, secondary, and college levels,
to foster more effective mathematics teaching at all levels of instruction in the schools of Hawaii by offering meetings and workshops of the types not available through other organizations and institutions in Hawaiʻi, and
to provide a medium for liaison with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
